I can't say for certain the McGregor fight was fixed, but I think people knew he was injured prior to the fight and that they weren't going to cancel it. Someone made some bank on this knowledge and McGregor made that dumb kick (twice) to get out of there asafp.

There’s actually people who loudly and proudly claim that McGregor knew his knee was already damaged and deliberately threw a crazy kick to blow it out just for the easy pay day.

UFC/Paramount won’t want Conor’s first fight back to be a one-sided run-out like MVP had on their MMA Netflix card.
It could make good business if he has a tune-up on an MVP Netflix show once he’s recovered to bring back eyeballs before any UFC return…

Depends on if he has meniscal repair. They are typically non weight-bearing initially. That will contribute to additional atrophy and likely some more recovery time. Most ACL repairs can jog and jump around week 12 to 14 weeks. But to fight at the highest level? Longer. I'd be surprised If we see him in the octagon again in the next 8 months.
