@kar_nels @eric_hontz We were on track to get it here in Wisconsin about 15 years ago but evil Scott Walker turned down the federal funding and killed the plan. Plan has been revived, might happen in about five years or so.

@eric_hontz Smaller Midwestern cities would be way more appealing if connected by high speed passenger rail, so leisure and business trips to nearby bigger cities a breeze and affordable. Upper Midwest and rust belt would benefit so much from regional rail.

America has many “rust belt” cities with beautiful architecture, affordable housing, talented people, and bones that made them the powerhouses of the world economy. We will know America is on its way back from slumber not by the Dow but by the success of cities like Pittsburgh.
