@historydefined Marc has been a loose cannon for decades. Back in '03 he called into a radio talk show and made a fool out of himself, unable to control his emotions and had to make a public apology shortly after. What a buffoon.

Bruce Prichard once told this story on Something To Wrestle With. He repeatedly tried to recruit Marc Summers to the WWF, personally reaching out almost yearly for several years because he greatly admired Summers' talent and personality. Prichard specifically wanted him as a backstage interviewer, comparing the potential role to "Mean" Gene Okerlund's, believing the Double Dare host would be a fantastic fit for the wrestling business. However, Prichard acknowledged that Summers had a "great gig" with Nickelodeon at the time and ultimately didn't make the move.

@mulaney @realmarcsummers I went to a bday party for a kid down the block when I was 6. It was a WWYD themed party complete with Nickelodeon co-hosting and providing the best party favors ever AND MS was there and led our own version of the show. No idea how it was so legit but best bday party ever.
