Fighting to restore confidence in our elections as State Representative, Chairman of the House Elections Committee, and candidate for Kansas Secretary of State.

Kansas AG wants speedy appeal after mail ballot grace period restored cjonline.com/story/news/pol…

Rep. Pat Proctor has served the people of Leavenworth since 2021 in the Kansas House. Colonel Proctor is an Army veteran who served in combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan and also served as a professor of Homeland Security at Wichita State for 7 years. With his wife Aree, he built Baan Thai Restaurant into Kansas’s largest Thai restaurant chain, underscoring his understanding of small businesses and job creation. Pat also chairs the House Elections Committee, where he has worked with Senator Mike Thompson to champion numerous election integrity measures, many of which we have successfully been able to enact into law, making Kansas elections among the most secure in the country. He's now running for Kansas Secretary of State, which is why I'm honored he's joined my team with an endorsement. I can't wait to work with future Secretary Proctor! Thank you, Pat!

BREAKING: The Supreme Court rejects a Republican-led challenge to counting some mail-in ballots that arrive after Election Day. In a 5-4 decision, the Court ruled that states can continue counting ballots received after Election Day if state law allows it and the ballots meet requirements, including being postmarked on time. Justice Amy Coney Barrett wrote the majority opinion, joined by Chief Justice Roberts and the Court's three liberal justices. Justice Samuel Alito dissented, calling the ruling inconsistent with federal election law and "two centuries of historical practice." | @ShannonBream @AmericaNewsroom
