24 years ago today, a Tuesday morning, a momentous day as Real Radio Wales launched at 8am. Tom Jones with the official welcome, John Myers with the opening link, Barbara Streisand with the opening song & we were on! I was so proud to be part of the launch team!

@RealRadioMem After discussing with @ChrisBReynolds and maybe @TheDaveBrookes can corroborate, I’m pretty sure it was 10yrs ago today the Real Radio name left the airways. I think Easter Monday 21st April 2014 was when I opened the station for 2 weeks of “no name” before Heart.

I would usually see Leighton around Gorseinon. He was one of this town's great legends and much loved at Garden Village FC and Gorseinon CC. He was one of @SwansOfficial great heroes! Love,thoughts and prayers with Leighton's dear wife Sue and his lovely family.
