Vegas drivers can expect to see more police on the roads again. This time, cops are cracking down on distracted drivers.
A statewide distracted driving enforcement campaign is underway from April 3 through April 20. Nevada State Police, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Henderson Police Department, North Las Vegas Police Department, and Boulder City Police Department are all joining forces with agencies across Nevada.
According to officials, the goal is to crack down on distracted driving and remind people how quickly things can go wrong. That includes anything that takes your attention off the road, like texting, eating, doing makeup, recording videos, or interacting with passengers.
Henderson Police say so far in 2026, they’ve already issued 39 tickets and 37 warnings for distracted driving.
Across the state, you can expect highly visible enforcement, meaning more patrols and more stops.
During these crackdowns, where do you see the most police activity around Vegas?
