Vegas drivers can expect to see more police on the roads again. This time, cops are cracking down on distracted drivers. A statewide distracted driving enforcement campaign is underway from April 3 through April 20. Nevada State Police, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, Henderson Police Department, North Las Vegas Police Department, and Boulder City Police Department are all joining forces with agencies across Nevada. According to officials, the goal is to crack down on distracted driving and remind people how quickly things can go wrong. That includes anything that takes your attention off the road, like texting, eating, doing makeup, recording videos, or interacting with passengers. Henderson Police say so far in 2026, they’ve already issued 39 tickets and 37 warnings for distracted driving. Across the state, you can expect highly visible enforcement, meaning more patrols and more stops. During these crackdowns, where do you see the most police activity around Vegas?

Downtown Summerlin has partnered with Live Nation, one of the world’s largest concert promoters, to host an Easter egg hunt this Saturday, April 4 from 10 AM to 1 PM. This isn’t your typical candy-filled situation. Every single egg has something way better inside. Tickets to live shows, some valued anywhere from $50 up to $320. Starting at 10 AM, 72 eggs will be hidden at the top of every hour until 1 PM across the property. They’ll only be placed in common areas, so no going off into random spots. If you find one, you’re walking away with two tickets to one of the featured shows. Eggs could contain tickets to artists and comedians like Kesha, Jonas Brothers, Doja Cat, New Kids on the Block, Goo Goo Dolls, Earth, Wind & Fire, Chelsea Handler, Wu-Tang Clan, Blake Shelton, Rod Stewart, Guns N’ Roses, The Kid LAROI, Father John Misty, Jinjer, Juvenile, Summer Walker, Ne-Yo & Akon, Foo Fighters, Fuerza Regida, Pepe Aguilar, Freddie Gibbs, Boyz II Men, Scorpions, Gasolina, Nikki Glaser & David Spade, Lady A, and more. Organizers ask everyone to keep it respectful. No running or pushing, just a good egg hunt with a Vegas twist. More info: links.realvegaslocals.com

This morning, the Nevada Bureau of Environmental Resource Management has confirmed the sale of Red Rock Canyon to a private luxury home developer. According to NVRM, the decision was made to help offset rising operational costs along with a recent state-level lawsuit tied to land use and environmental oversight. Plans for the site include a high-end gated community designed specifically for ultra-wealthy buyers looking to live closer to nature without the long drive. Silverstone Development Group says the location was strategically chosen because “luxury clientele prefer convenience,” with homes expected to feature panoramic canyon views, private trail access, and curated desert landscaping. For those worried about losing access completely, developers say locals will still be able to catch a glimpse of the canyon from the patio of a new Starbucks planned at the current Calico Hills Viewpoint location. The development will also bring in a curated mix of upscale retail, including an exclusive Lululemon flagship store. Many locals are already talking about protesting before realizing it’s april fools today. But could you imagine?

You’re not supposed to be inside Buffalo Bill’s at night… but this experience takes you there on purpose, and it’s not for the faint of heart. Just outside Las Vegas, a limited-time paranormal investigation experience is giving locals the chance to step inside the reportedly haunted Buffalo Bill’s in Primm after dark and actually take part in the investigation. This isn’t a tourist trap or a staged attraction. Guests will use real equipment and explore areas that are typically off-limits during the day. The experience is being put on by Vegas Afterlife, a dark tourism company that offers multiple paranormal investigations around Las Vegas at reportedly haunted locations. It will be led by owner and founder Danielle Nicole, a paranormal researcher with nearly 20 years of experience in the field. This event is only four nights, April 17 and 18, and May 1 and 2. Limited capacity and expected to sell out. Tickets are $115. Use code VEGAS for $5 off. Would you actually do this, or is this a hard no? More info: links.realvegaslocals.com

Las Vegas is getting ready for one of its most unique annual celebrations as the 3rd Annual 420 State Fair returns on Saturday, April 18, 2026. Taking place at NuWu Marketplace from 2 PM to midnight, the all-day event is being called the largest 420 celebration in Nevada, bringing together music, games, food, and flower culture all in one place. The fair takes over multiple areas including the courtyard, Sky High Lounge, and deck, turning the space into a full experience with DJs, carnival-style activities, interactive games, and a wide range of brands. It is designed to feel more like a festival than a typical event, with something happening in every corner throughout the day and night. Organizers say this year will feel completely different, with the entire experience refreshed for 2026, featuring new games, new activities, and a new highlight called the Green Ribbon Experience. It includes a Best in Show flower competition and a live talent showcase with performers, artists, jugglers, and acrobats. Do you have any plans for 420? More info: 420statefair.com

Las Vegas is officially getting another Super Bowl. NFL owners have approved awarding Super Bowl LXIII in 2029 to Las Vegas during their annual meeting, marking the second time in just five years that the game will be played at Allegiant Stadium. The decision was widely expected. Las Vegas and the NFL had been in exclusive talks for months, and there was little resistance leading up to the vote. The city made a strong impression during its first Super Bowl in 2024, earning praise across the league for its ability to handle massive crowds, events, and logistics. From packed hotels to nonstop entertainment across the Strip, Vegas proved it could deliver on the biggest stage. That success also translated into record-breaking numbers. The NFL generated over $314 million in ticket and suite sales during the game, and the event generated over $1 billion in total economic impact for the Las Vegas economy. Are you excited for the Super Bowl to return to Vegas, and what teams would you want to see face off?

Vegas is getting a basketball team, and locals are already split on what it should be called. A lot of people want the Spades to go with the Aces. Others are going more Vegas with names like Sinners or Vipers. And then there’s the fun side of it. Some people are saying Cones, and honestly you can already picture kids loving it. Either way, Vegas isn’t just getting a team, it’s getting a name people are going to have a lot of opinions about. What do you think the new Vegas basketball team should be called?

🧵 A Las Vegas couple is turning weddings into that old Vegas, nostalgic vibe, and we’re loving it. Haley and Bryen, both born and raised in Vegas, are behind a growing trend of shooting weddings entirely on film. From 35mm photography to Super 8mm video, their work leans fully into that nostalgic, grainy, vintage look that feels more like a memory than a production. The couple met at a camera store, and just a few years later, built a business around what they love. Now, they’re capturing elopements and weddings across the West with a style that stands out in a world of ultra-digital, perfectly polished content. Their brand, Brazen Honey Films, has been picking up attention for doing things differently. Instead of chasing perfection, they focus on emotion, movement, and moments that feel real. The result is wedding content that feels less like a photoshoot and more like a story you can actually feel. What do you think about this look? Would you go vintage film for your wedding, or would you rather have modern, photoshopped photos? Brazen Honey Films on Instagram: instagram.com/brazenhoneyfil…
