Is anyone else burning through Codex 5x Pro weekly limits unusually fast? I used two full weekly limits in one day doing normal engineering work, mostly on GPT-5.5 Medium/Low and GPT-5.6 Sol Low. I tested older models to see whether Sol was the issue, but GPT-5.5 seems to drain limits just as quickly. For comparison, I’ve used Claude Max similarly for a week and only consumed about 20%. Feels like there could be a compaction or usage accounting issue, or the plans are simply structured very differently. Anyone else testing or seeing this? 👀

Also, created this menubar app that allows me to check my usage and keeps my mbp stay awake all the time!

I built a mini-app on WeChat from scratch, word by word, with PM experiences and all that, but the main thing is that Codex undestands everything I wanted and gave me the best possible outcome that I couldn't even think of prior to using it. Codex forever!

@rezoundous At first, I spent $20 on a plus subscription, then the more I used it, the more I realized that I should directly upgrade to Pro 5x or 20x. Now I'm at the $100 subs. lol Works like a charm. Claude? Next life cycle maybe.

@thsottiaux Without 5h limit, it's much better for us to plan ahead and control our usage resets. If indeed a 5h limit must implemented, make it optional, not mandatory. Right now I can keep it running nonstop until 7d limit is drained, no need to worry it'll hit the 5h wall.

We've had no 5h limit in Codex plus and pro for a few days. Do you think it is better or are you finding it difficult to manage the usage included in the weekly limit effectively? If we were to make this different, what should it look like in an ideal world?

@thsottiaux Dunno if anyone reported but I noticed you can't see details on ChatGPT iOS app connecting to Codex when your task is running. Screenshots, edits, etc, are hidden and only texts in bold displayed and cannot be tapped or collapsed. Please fix it.
