NEW: Borger officer pulls man from truck in arrest after edited Facebook bodycam sparks controversy Dashon Johnson accidentally hit a parked car at Tractor Supply in Borger, Texas on February 25. The store manager used racial slurs before calling 911. After speaking with police Johnson returned to his truck. Officer Jaron Bliss warned him he would be arrested if he left, then opened the door and pulled him out. Borger PD posted bodycam footage on Facebook that slowed down the moment Johnson was removed from the truck. The unedited version was obtained through an open records request. In it, Bliss told another officer he did not yank Johnson and that it appeared he jumped or tripped out. The department has no additional statements. I have put together the Facebook version of the incident in question and the unedited video.

You’re legit insane. My white 95lb sister sister got the crap knocked out of her for simply talking back to a Gresham police officer. Lifted her up WWE style like a plank above his head and slammed her down on the hood of his car, crushing it in, knocking her out, for talking back and not even yelling. You need to clear your mind of all the propaganda you’ve been fed from mom and dad and all your family, cousins and neighbors and step in to the real world. I know exactly what happens to blacks when they’re always around other blacks. The world is out to get you all and it simply isn’t true. It’s actually very sad. This mother was traveling through Hurst with her 15-year-old son in the passenger seat when she was pulled over and accused of speeding. She planned to contest the claim in court but still provided her license, as required by law. She declined to take the paper receipt of the citation, protesting what she believed was racial profiling. The officer insisted—tossing the ticket toward her when she refused to take it from his hand. She instinctively tossed the paper out of the window. What happened next is an example of everything that is wrong with American policing. This officer had three clear options: 1.Issue a second citation for littering using the information he already had. 2.Walk away—the citation had already been issued. 3.Instead, he chose to snatch this mother out of her vehicle in front of her child, slam her to the ground, seriously injure her, and take her to jail… where she was ultimately issued a citation and then released to the hospital for treatment of the injuries caused during the arrest.

NEW: 6-year-old boy fatally struck while playing with ball in Frayser street; driver arrested A 6-year-old boy was fatally struck Thursday afternoon on Signal Street and Whitney Avenue in Memphis’ Frayser neighborhood. The child was playing with a ball in the westbound lane of Whitney Avenue when Kenyunte W. Goss struck him with her Chrysler 200. Goss remained at the scene. Goss has been arrested and charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license and failure to provide proof of financial responsibility. She is being held on a $10,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court Monday.
