I currently employ hundreds of people, which supports thousands of families directly and indirectly through salaries, vendors, taxes, services, and second-order economic activity. So before giving lectures on economics, tell me: what have you built, whom have you employed, and what value have you created? Also, name one country where socialism has actually succeeded without eventually creating poverty, shortages, corruption, debt, or state control. I’ll wait.

People forget one basic fact: capitalism needs people with capital, ideas, risk-taking ability, and execution power to create goods, services, jobs, taxes, and better standards of living. That is how societies move people out of poverty. Socialism, on the other hand, survives politically on poverty. It becomes relevant only when poverty is expanded, preserved, or emotionally exploited. Then people can be manipulated with promises of “free” benefits, while the real cost is paid through higher taxes, inflation, debt, corruption, and theft from productive taxpayers. Capitalism creates wealth. Socialism redistributes dependency.

This discourse is all wrong. The MLS lobby is trying to will him into a WC spot. He’s 25 years old, has never played in a top league, and has struggled most of his USMNT games. The onus should be on him to go to a top league and prove himself before he gets into the senior team, which let’s be honest is deepest at his position! You shouldn’t be allowed to hide out at home and try to capitalize on the lack of any definitive proof that you’re unable to contribute against better teams. If he’s so good, what is the wait for him to head abroad?
