Built in 1906, the Kearns Building was upgraded with a 100 psf reinforced plaza, ADA-compliant restrooms, and strengthened floors to accommodate new mechanical systems, preserving its history with modern engineering. @HKSArchitects @JaobsenBuilds

Daybreak features a three-story Class-A office building with collaborative spaces, private offices, meeting rooms, and an exercise facility, alongside a 650-stall parking structure. The exterior features a blend of metal and architectural precast panels. @FFKR_Architects

The Scholars Community at UofU features 67 four- and eight-bed units, the flexible Big Ideas Innovation Center, and the Hetzel Commons, which includes a 24-hour market. Outdoor areas include a patio for games and a stepped lecture/performance space. @uutah @arch_NEXUS @jacobyarch

Nexus on Ninth offers ground-floor commercial space, two levels of residences, and a parking podium. The mixed-use property features 28 units, gathering areas, a private dining room, a fitness center, and bike storage. @arch_NEXUS @ThinkBigD

Edison House turns a long-abandoned site into a 3-story venue with an adaptive façade. Metal screens and large operable doors control light, heat, and airflow, creating a flexible and efficient space. @HKSArchitects @OklandConst

A new luxury hotel joins the restored Union Pacific Depot, preserving the Grand Train Hall and adding a restaurant, guest rooms, suites, and meeting spaces. A C-shaped design creates a courtyard and a seven-story bridge with views of the Olympic Fountain Plaza.

The Cliff Lodge opened with 162 rooms and later expanded to 532. A 110-ft atrium links the original lodge and tower. Amenities include five restaurants, four lounges, and a 27,000 SF spa with a year-round rooftop pool. @FFKR_Architects

BYU'S West View Building is a 50,500 SF academic facility that replaced the old Faculty Office Building. It houses the Economics and Statistics departments, the Maxwell Institute, a computer lab, faculty offices, upgraded systems, and a concrete and steel frame.

At Utah Construction + Design’s 11th Annual Most Outstanding Projects Awards Breakfast today, we were proud to stand with our project partners as several of the teams we were part of were recognized as Utah’s Most Outstanding Projects of 2025.

Utah State University's Huntsman School of Business features 125,800 SF of expansions and 10,100 SF of renovations, with two three-story classroom wings, a central collaboration area, classrooms, breakout spaces, event areas, and research centers. @gsbsarchitects @usuaggies

Gallivan Plaza, opened in 1993 in downtown SLC, now features expanded concert space, a two-story event building, updated restrooms, a south-facing terrace, a larger ice rink, and a new shade structure. @ThinkBigD
