@RebZam Agreed. Didn't mean to accuse journalists here. I just meant the general chatter takes fb/meta at its word now and I'm surprised by how much good faith the company has won since their rebrand. If ppl were as skeptical as they should be, fb/meta would talk differently in public.

@RebZam pretty gross the company that helped trigger a genocide in Myanmar talks about hard news only in terms of user engagement, not real-world impact. facebook rebranded and now even journalists forget the role it played in real violence worldwide, even Jan 6 in the US.
