We mostly take a break from homeschooling during December. So 10yo finally decided he wants to learn to play the piano, and we're doing a piano intensive immersion for him this month.
This flexibility and pursuit of individual interests is the best part of homeschooling!

My grandpa told me that in the old days, TV channels would stop broadcasting around midnight. They'd play the national anthem and then go completely off air until morning. Is that real, or is he messing with me?

24 years ago, America's greatest threat came from outside our country.
Today, we are apparently are own worst enemies. Have we become so divided that we've given up on dialogue? Are other ideas such a threat that we must eliminate those who hold them?

My Mom had to drop out of college to take care of me and my brother. She put her nose to the grindstone and built several successful companies from scratch with just hard work and street smarts.

A close friend of mine lost her daughter Emma on Monday evening. Emma was the mother of two boys. She was widowed 2 years ago so now the two boys are orphaned at 15 and 13 years old. Could they have some prayers please 🙏 🙏
