The first week of school is all about building community! Grade 5 read Enemy Pie and then created our own recipes for Friendship Pie! #AISCGrade5#AISCElementary
Messy desks=a productive writing workshop! Grade 5 students work on their argument essays about topics like: Should we prioritize space or ocean exploration? Are extreme sports worth the risk? Should we focus on protecting sharks from humans or humans from sharks? #AISCGrade5
Help Wanted! Grade 5 students worked to help one another improve their nonfiction books in writing workshop by asking for and offering help. Students posted what they might want some help with and offered up their skills to help their classmates. #AISCGrade5#AISCInTheClassroom
@TraceyBaptiste Thank you so much!! I don't see your office though! Would you mind trying one more time? Thank you!! I finished the Rise of the Jumbies a few months ago. LOVED IT
@RebeccaSemrick@AISChennai@dansant@KateMessner@MarcTNobleman@JasonReynolds83 HEY, 3rdies! I have a home office, but it’s so full of 📖 fest stuff—inflatable 🦄s,🦈s & such—I can barely open the 🚪! 😅! (Someday, I’ll clean my room! Someday...) So I usually just write in my kitchen which—BONUS!—is WAY closer to the 🍪 jar. 😁! WRITE ON, BOOK BUDDIES!
A few of my students reached out to a new student in class to make her feel welcome even though we can’t all be together physically. My heart is so full. 💕
