We note that spread = a continuum btwn diffusion & active dissemination.

Insights on how #conservation initiatives go to #scale: 1) most, not all, spread like a disease, 2) the extent & speed of spread is context specific, & 3) no initiative spread both relatively quickly & across a large proportion of adopters. Open access: rdcu.be/bTq4x
