@SaltySoclWrkr When my kids were little, I was reading War and Peace. I had renewed it twice. I asked to renew it again, the librarian asked why. I said “I’m not finished.” He said “that isn’t a very compelling reason.” I’m hard pressed to think of any other reason for wanting to renew a book.

@Reblsmithpdx I don't think you can renew a book with a waiting list, no matter the library. You get 2 weeks in your checkout.

A real sleeper of a gem, the Libby App. All the greatness of the library w/o leaving the house. It doesn't replace the awesomeness of actually going into a quiet library but it does make books more accessible. Especially since I'm in 3 book clubs and my kids read books so fast 📚

@SaltySoclWrkr Though I have found out that with ebooks, you can just go to airplane mode. Then the app will “return” your book, but your device will retain it until you connect to wifi again.
