ETHANOL STORY:
Petroleum ministry ruled out Pure/E10 petrol in addition to E20. There are reasons for that;
1. Govt banks invested huge amounts in Ethanol industry.
2. Ethanol is produced by distilleries mostly controlled by politicians.
3. Ethanol prices are controlled by govt guaranteeing remunerative prices to farmers.
4. C-Molasses ethanol is controlled by farmer cooperatives which are vote banks.
Ethanol mix becomes viable only if crude prices are above $ 115-120.
But govt subsidizes that to keep farmers, distilleries, bankers & cooperatives happy, at the cost of consumers who have to pay more for impure, less mileage fuel.

I was on my way to Datia when my bike broke down. I had to drag it for nearly 500 meters to the nearest mechanic. According to him, the culprit was E20 petrol.
When I asked what the main issue was, he said the gasket, O-rings, and fuel injector are the parts most commonly damaged because of ethanol, which can cause the rubber components to harden and deteriorate over time.
Earlier, my bike used to give around 50 km/l, but now the mileage has dropped to 40 km/l.
I don’t know what else to say, but fuck your E20 policy, Nitin Gadkari.

@RecordsHoarder @openletteryt I can get different mileage. Air pressure is different at different times of the day. You can brake more in one case than other and push more gas. Why not go to a car dyno place and measure it? What's stopping you.

@openletteryt That mileage is not true mileage. That mileage is based on driving habits, car condition, road condition, weather and traffic. True way to find fuel mileage is on car dyno. Read car manual. Car companies disown the mileage displayed on the dashboard. That mileage is unscientific.
