The American Red Cross is declaring an emergency blood shortage as the blood supply fell nearly 25% in June. Blood donors are urgently needed to give now to help ensure patients receive lifesaving medical care without delay.

Last month, our Central Chapter Executive Director, Denise Teasdell, attended the Columbia Rotary Club on Senate Road. Denise shared our Red Cross mission and discussed how the American Red Cross of South Carolina has prepared for this year's hurricane season.

@RedCrossSC volunteers Julienne Correa and Gilbert Green have recently deployed to Guam to help those affected by Typhoon Bavi. Across the U.S., the American Red Cross currently has disaster teams en route to the islands for the second time in just weeks.
