AI nerds - what local model should I run on a single RTX 3090s 24GB of VRAM with another 64GB of system RAM?

Data centers are a GOOD thing but people make BAD decisions. Humans use energy to innovate. Always have, always will. We need data centers to innovate with AI and they need a ton of energy. Humans are also flawed and make dumb decisions because of greed that harm one another. Standing up a data center where it impacts the real lives of the people who live there is not okay. Maybe that’s where we need regulations.

What’s your honest opinion on data centers? I want to be able to tell elected officials how you feel about them.

Bitaxe Gamma finds the #Bitcoin block 957382 🤩 The lucky share had a 294T difficulty which is more than double the necessary 134T threshold to mine a Bitcoin block. Impressive!

yesterday i was on spaces asking everyone what's their best difficulty on their solo miners. mine was 46G on my bitaxe. Then i rented 75 PH/s for an hour just to see if i'd get lucky. best share from all that hashrate? ~160G. then today i check my S21+ solo mining on ckpool at 216 TH/s… 5.78 T!!. let that sink in. 75 petahash couldn't touch what one chip on my S21+ did on its own. bitcoin doesn't care how big your machine is. every single hash is a fresh lottery ticket. one chip on one hashboard rolled the right number. officially in the trillion club. next stop: full difficulty and a block. what's the best difficulty you've ever hit solo mining? drop it below.

Block 420,000: reward cut from 25 BTC to 12.5 BTC. The bull run to $20K would follow over the next 18 months. Bitcoin's next halving reduces the reward from the current 3.125 Bitcoin per block to 1.5625 in ~670 days.
