Brianna Thompson has started her Cook Strait solo swim, starting from the south island and being escorted by the boat Toroa. Conditions started out pretty choppy at 14.5C sea temp. Dawn is breaking and she’s swimming well, tucked in nice and closely to the shark shield 🤙

Liz Denyer has started her Cook Strait solo swim starting on the South Island and being escorted by the boat Katabatic. Some jellies out here but nothing she can’t handle. Water temp started at 14.5C but rose to 15.5 within 1k. Sea conditions and wind are excellent 💪
