@Red_Rory8 I wasn't dehydrated - I'd actually made sure of that in advance, because it's been mentioned to me before and the NZ blood service specifically mentions it when you book. Some of us just have recalcitrant veins.
Went to give blood for the 2nd time and got a keyring! I felt like a bit of a fraud, though, because my veins refused to play ball and they could only get about 100ml out of me.
@BudoNick Very, very sad that such pain can be inflicted on the innocent. The biggest issue with bullying is not only that it exists, but it often exists in plain sight and is ignored by those in power.
@yvonneridley It's fascinating and disturbing. I thought that democracy was about freedom of speech? I thought that we punished oppression and injustices. I thought the law was to protect the innocent. I thought the press was to challenge those in power. Who is the real puppet master?

@MichaelRosenYes@kalahar1 A German chap called Himmler often expressed the view that Jews were inferior to other races and this was the bedrock of Nazi ideology which resulted in the tragedy that we now refer to as the holocaust.
@LSStitchnBitch@CeilNoyle@guardian It's all a repetition of the disgraceful coverage of the Iraqi War by the British Media. Starmer is the new Blair but even more dangerous because he is not the sharpest knife in the drawer
Every Israeli victim gets a headline photo in the Guardian alongside individual obituaries. Palestinian victims are no longer even mentioned. You cannot reform this.
@CeilNoyle What do you expect in Starmer's land that upholds the time honoured tradition of colonialism where freedom of speech is stifled if voiced against the oppressor and where if you speak out against war crimes, you are in danger of being imprisoned?
Strange how some folk regard their personal musical tastes to objectively and undisputedly define the quality of what they like. Stranger still that they’re arrogant enough to condemn others for not agreeing with them.
@hp88@SnufkinJapanes1 Yes and that's the point, it does not cater for tourists. I had some crass woman hard selling an annual pass to me at Battle Abbey last year. When I (politely) explained that I lived in Japan she was assuring me that three visits and I would get value. Yawn!
@Red_Rory8@SnufkinJapanes1 It is definitely expensive but it does include a year’s pass* (if validated) so local people can go multiple times. Not much good for visitors who will only visit once! Sorry it was pricey Snufkin and I hope you can go again to make it worth it! (*or did when I went last)
