Trench Crusade is a great examples of cool designs with no proper lore to back it up. It blew up bc of it’s amazing designs and art. It got people invested into it bc of these aspects. However as we tried to get into TC it became clear that the lore was terrible and inconsistent and no care was put into it. This is why it flopped. If 40K didn’t have good and fun lore and only had overpriced miniatures and cool designs and art it would’ve ended up like TC. Lore is essential.

Meanwhile, the "Jewish rape dogs" hoax has been refuted not because it's a slur against Jews, but because the American Kennel Club attests it's an impossibility for dogs.
