Ayooo @fhenix absolutely killed it in Cannes! Actually...even some of my best convos happened there! About what? Privacy and FHE! Let me explain it in a simple way: Let's start with "Privacy" 👇 Most of DeFi still works like trading with your bank account, positions, and strategy taped to your forehead. Everyone can see everything. --> Balances. --> Trades. --> Order flow. --> Treasury moves. Sure...Great for transparency. Terrible if you actually care about privacy, strategy protection, or serious capital coming onchain. Fhenix is working on the other version of DeFi. Using FHE, apps can compute on encrypted data. So your app can still function, your contract can still execute, but the sensitive stuff doesn’t have to be fully exposed onchain for the whole world to inspect (more on this below). That unlock is much bigger than people think: --> private stablecoin logic --> private treasury management --> private trading strategies --> private RWAs --> private identity flows ...basically onchain finance that doesn’t force you to leak everything by default..and we all kinda hate that.. (Pretty cool, right? Interview with @AngieMKTmom dropping soon!) ----------------------------------------------- But what about FHE itself? What in the world is FHE? 👇 FHE, or Fully Homomorphic Encryption, is basically a way to compute on data while it stays encrypted. Normally, if a system wants to use your data, it has to decrypt it first. So even if your information is protected while it’s being sent, it usually gets exposed again when the app or server processes it. FHE changes that. It allows the computation to proceed without opening the data. A simple way to think about it: --> it’s like putting your information in a locked box and still being able to do useful work with the box closed. That matters because most of the internet today is only partially private. Data is usually encrypted in transit, but not while it’s being processed. (WARNING!
