@_birch14_ I think centre bounce they're ok, but once it gets to around the ground they're not strong enough to compete with the big boys. That's why we need Flynn for at least 2 more seasons. He's act pretty strong and competes well at ball ups and throw ins around the ground.

@Redders_7 Ive been floating around this idea that with the new ruck rules, the 2 young fellas might be fine? The rules favor those that can leap and then follow up at ground level aswell as run & spread around the ground. CDT and Archer both have Flynn covered in all those areas, thoughts?

@_birch14_ Flynn is a solid rock, but will never be a star and will get battered by the likes of Gawn and Xerri all the time, but he does compete & try hard and he's the best we've got until we can develop CDT and Arch, so you're not entirely wrong bud.

@Redders_7 You're probably right, some bias carried over from how bad he was last week vs north. I thought our clearance work was great all day but didnt really feel Flynn was the cause - probably being harsh. I feel like CDT and Archers mobility would be more of an impact around the ground

I will not make any posts on Australian Cricket till tomorrow. Let's see what happens if CA have any announcement to make in regards to the team selections and preparation for the game against Sri Lanka. I, as a die hard Aussie fan am extremely disappointed with the way everything has been panned out over the past few weeks. It all started ever since they announced the squad for the t20 WC. They got humiliated in Pakistan and now humbled by Zimbabwe Not making the semifinals for a third consecutive time at this event is shameful. The old adage that Australia don't take t20s seriously needs to be buried in the dustbin now. Australia selectors simply don't pick the right players based on conditons for this tournament. It is an ICC event and they have to pick players on current form and BBL performance has to be respected.

George Bailey has picked such a poor squad that he is now under serious pressure and scrambling for cover on how to assemble the best 11 for tomorrow's crucial game against Sri Lanka. If they lose tomorrow their campaign is over. This is my speculation. Zampa,Inglis,Head,Ellis,Stoinis, David are all assured of their spots. They are 100% locks. 6 players are locked. That leaves 5 players to be picked. Maxwell and Green are vying for one spot. Kuhnemann, Connolly are battling for one spot. Bartlett, Dwarshius are battling for one spot. Matt Renshaw may not be a lock in the team. If Steve Smith comes in then one of Maxwell/Green/Renshaw will have to make way. If Mitchell Marsh is fit then he will most likely come in for one of Maxwell/Green who are both vulnerable at this point. There might be a scenario where Marsh and Smith both play and Green/Maxwell get dropped though that is an unlikely to happen. There is already lot of public pressure and scrutiny for not picking Steve Smith in the team. An unfit captain, out of form players. George Bailey has his work cut out.

🚨Latest update on Steve Smith🚨 Steve Smith is due to fly today to Sri Lanka. He is still in Australia as of now. He had flown from Adelaide to Sydney to collect his kit bag and mentally prepare himself. Which is why he hasn't been officially added to the 15 man squad yet. He will most likely be added in the squad of 15 in the next couple of days.
