@DarenChidwick I’d agree his performances have been much more up and down this season compared to his loan spell and he still has things to improve. Like you say though he’s still young for a centre back so as he develops and bulks out more I think he’ll become a really good player

@ReeceHeard_ He hasn't played that well this season and has been bullied by the more physical target men in this league. However, he is young so should develop and yes, it does appear that he cares.

People should watch his full interview on YouTube. I agree with the notion that too many of these players don’t care, but he clearly does and looked distraught at how we are. I felt for him Saturday being thrown out to the press when he was one of very few worthy of any credit.

@kingy_01 Reality is getting rid of a couple of contracted players may be possible, but getting rid of four or five is very unlikely to be doable. I wouldn’t complain if Beckles and McKenzie were to move on either though.

I’d offer contracts to Dack and possibly McCleary. That’s it. I’d also transfer list Hutton and Khumbeni Gale, Smith, Beckles, Dack, Antwi, Coleman, McKenzie, Hale, Palmer-Houlden would be my starting point for the summer

@gfclastwaltzer @Naylor94 I suspect Gale probably thinks his man is the one inbetween him and Clark as like you say Dack had gone out with Hutton, but we’re losing and chasing so that can happen I guess 🤷🏻‍♂️ the first one I agree think Morris could save it but Rowe’s role in it is pathetic

@ReeceHeard_ @Naylor94 Ahhh ok , so as a lone CB Gale couldn't leave his man and try to cover someone who just did ? , I've not seen a post from you about the 1st , having watched it again ( yes I was there🤦) I think Morris should be getting to that

@gfclastwaltzer @Naylor94 Also the second goal Smith had seemingly been sent up front as we was chasing so Gale was the lone centre back. Personally won’t throw my toys out over us conceding a breakaway goal at 1-0 down with 3 minutes left. The first goal I have much more problem with.

@Naylor94 Let's be honest here , Dack leaves the whole situation open for their player to wander freely into the box and score , at the start of the footage Gale is clearly with his man , communication is clearly zero here , but someone of Dack's experience should never leave his man free

Honestly criminal that we’ve found a way to lose that 2-0. Thought Smith and Gale were excellent and deserved a clean sheet, but as per usual a lack of being able (or willing) to do the basics of following men properly has cost us

Big round of applause for Aaron Rowe everyone. 90 minutes into a game we never looked like losing and he just lets a man peel off him and doesn’t even attempt to block the shot. Waste of wages.

The sight of the manager walking around the pitch clapping while staring out those increasing numbers of #Gills fans who are rightly giving him grief is reminiscent of the arrogance of Stimson and Harris 😁

Don’t want to come across like a happy clapper as losing 2-0 at home is never a good result, but off the back of two hammerings that was better from Gills tonight. Performance was good, result was harsh, quality was just a bit lacking where it really mattered

Still Ainsworth in, the problems pre-date him. Today the first hint of admission from him that a chunk of these players aren’t for him. What I’d rather he do now is only use players he wants around next season, bomb the rest out the squad and put youngsters in their place

So, Gills, what to say right now? A few things. We knew it would take a few seasons to right what was inherited and to get our bearings. Injuries also huge issue. Shan and I (and Joe and Gaz and Dobbo and everyone else) still love and support this team and the fanbase. Stick with us. All we can do is survive the battles until we reinforce the foundation. It hurts. But can you imagine, some day, how it will feel when we finish our work? Another thing, while I wholeheartedly support the Gills and English football, I, along with nine other L1 and L2 owners, are taking a stand on the state of the EFL. It loses £500M per season and nearly all its clubs are within 1 month of being Sheffield Wednesday. No business owner on the planet, myself included, would affiliate with that sort of incompetence. Players are moaning at each other before the goals even in. Embarrassing. It’s all brand preservation, which is hilarious when you’re gonna be known as the players that got Spurs relegated. Take some responsibility and man up. No one is coming to save you
