Having completed aerial surveys with @aims_gov_au, today we confirm the fourth mass bleaching event on the #GreatBarrierReef in seven years and the first ever under La Niña conditions. #climatechange #ClimateAction

From the Reef Authority position statement on climate change: "Only the strongest and fastest possible actions to decrease global greenhouse gas emissions will reduce the risks and limit the impacts of climate change on the Reef."

So many critically important messages in the latest report from the IPCC on 'impacts, adaptation and vulnerability'. I think the most important is probably right at the end:
