I Applied for a social media manager role. They asked for my portfolio. Cool. I gave them They Asked about my experience. Makes sense. Then they said: "Record a 2-minute video explaining why we should hire you." I'm sorry, for what? You want me to audition like I am applying for a reality show? I manage social media for a living. My work speaks for itself. My results are documented. My references are ready. But you need me to perform for you on camera to prove I can schedule posts and analyze engagement? This isn't innovation. It's disrespect disguised as "company culture." If my portfolio and experience aren't enough, just say that. Don't make me dance for a job I am already qualified for. Is not funny
