I don’t think the younger generation understands that Sushi wasn’t really a thing in America in the early 90’s. I don’t remember even seeing a sushi restaurant till I was like 12 or 13.

Laws regarding having a medic on-site actually vary from state to state! PA and NY require one, for example. NJ does not (perhaps another reason so many deathmatch shindies pop up here! lol)
Anyone technically could hire medical support for an event. But do promoters do this? ha

Maybe it's a hot take, but I constantly see "get CPR trained" and "get first aid training" fall solely on the referees. It always felt like a cop out so promoters don't have to have a dedicated person at shows.
