PM Carney continues Trudeau’s tradition of using the phrase “women and men” when referring to members of the Canadian Armed Forces in speeches. 84% of the Canadian Armed Forces are men. @harrisonlowman @KeldenFormosa @GeoffRuss3 Agreed. Any reference to cohorts comprising less than 20% is unnecessary, and frankly encourage further subversion of societal cohesion. We’ve seen it with Islam in the UK, where Sharia Law is recognized in various neighbourhoods. Thank you @harrisonlowman for addressing.

There is no depth to Hamas’ evil. It wasn’t enough to kill a baby, his toddler brother, and their mother. They also exploited the Bibas family’s murder for propaganda and to inflict maximum harm on a grieving people. As human beings, we have a duty to condemn this barbarism.

The terrorists in Gaza paraded the bodies of Israeli hostages through the streets, with music playing in the background, before handing them over to the Red Cross. It was hard to process the scene. Among them were Kfir and Ariel Bibas—Kfir was only 10 months old when he was taken, and Ariel was just 4. They were kidnapped, and now this. It’s heartbreaking to think about what their families are going through.

I haven’t commented on the keffiyeh ban in the Ontario House because frankly the whole thing is performative nonsense on both sides and we’re giving it far more airtime than it deserves. But I’ll say this. The very same people who are most rankled by it would be howling if a MPP wore a IDF uniform in the chamber. IMO, neither should be allowed. But, I’m not a MPP and they make the rules that govern themselves.
