@NatWestBusiness Very poor experience at #Kingston branch today. Derogatory and condescending tone from staff member. Staff member was aware of this & changed tune by end of transaction but overall attitude was shocking. Disappointed and uncomfortable - left feedback with staff.

I must have bought my Biggles books there in the mid-1960s. And I remember (a few years later, you understand) not getting a Saturday/summer job with them once.

Showered, shaved and smartly dressed for the short walk into Kingston to meet a friend and buy books together. A sudden light shower at the front door. Didn’t fancy getting wet (“light rain stopping in eight minutes”) so went back in, took off coat, got my book out, made coffee,

Sometimes I arrive at a school that’s booked me for an author visit and it’s like they’re furious that I turned up. And I wonder if it’s because I don’t look right, or they’ve changed their minds, or the booking was made by someone who the rest of the staff dislike. 🤷‍♀️
