MLB WEDNESDAY | PLAY #2 ⚾️ Shohei Ohtani “O” 6.5 K’S #Dodgers When Ohtani’s command is sharp, this turns into survival mode for opposing lineups. The stuff is simply overpowering right now and San Francisco profiles as another team that can feed right into the strikeout upside. Ohtani owns a 33.6% K rate this season with 10.2 K/9 and has cleared this line in 4 of his last 5 starts. The recent run has been dominant: • 8K vs HOU • 9K vs MIA • 7K vs SF • 10K vs NYM The arsenal has been filthy too. His curveball is generating a ridiculous 54.9% whiff rate while the sweeper continues forcing hitters to chase outside the zone at an elite rate. Once he gets ahead in counts, hitters have had almost no answers finishing at-bats against him. This Giants lineup gives him plenty of strikeout targets: • Rafael Devers — 29.6% K rate • Heliot Ramos — 27.3% • Willy Adames — 29.5% • Hunter Bader — 30.0% • Matt Chapman — 23.0% As a team, San Francisco is striking out 22.9% vs RHP and several of these hitters carry elevated whiff and chase rates that match perfectly with Ohtani’s pitch mix. The biggest thing here is there’s no real platoon weakness to attack. Ohtani has dominated both sides of the plate with a 33%+ K rate vs both lefties and righties. He already punched out this Giants team for 7 earlier this season and now comes into this matchup throwing arguably his best baseball of the year. If he’s efficient early, the ceiling here is easily another 8-10 strikeout performance. ♥️ IF TAILING @PropsEdge 📊 Code “DAIJON” Will Get You 20% Off! #GamblingX | #MLB | #BettingX
