@PopPulseSA No matter how beautiful the dress is ,something will show that it’s made by a South African designer.

The Biblical Man@Biblicalman
The most terrifying thing about Noah’s Ark isn’t the flood. It’s the boat. God gave exact length. Exact width. Exact wood. Exact pitch. No steering wheel. No sail. No engine. Noah was not the captain. He was cargo…

Let me a share a glimpse of Tswana culture and I will be telling you about the accessory that Mapula Mafole is wearing. 🇿🇦🇧🇼
Look at her ankles, and what do you see?
In the heart of Setswana culture, music is not merely heard; it is felt through the vibration of the earth and synchronized movement of the body. Central to this percussive storytelling are the matlhoa - traditional ankle rattles that serve as the heartbeat of Tswana dancing.
Crafted with deep respect for the natural environment, matlhoa are traditionally made from the dried cocoons of the silk moth, often found in the Mopane woodlands. These cocoons are harvested, cleaned, and filled with small pebbles or seeds before being intricately woven onto leather thongs. When tied around a dancer’s lower legs, they transform every stomp and shuffle into sharp metallic "swish" sounds that cut through the air.
More than just an instrument, the matlhoa are a symbol of communal identity. In traditional dances like setapa, the rattles ensure that a troupe performs as a single and powerful unit. The sound represents a dialogue between dancers and the ground - echoing the history and spirit of the Tswana people.
