Good to catch up with a good friend Governor of Oklahoma 🇺🇸 Governor Stitt visiting London 🇬🇧 Governor Stitt was the first USA Governor I met in 2022 during my time as the Foreign Office Minister covering North America. A brilliant Governor representing a great state. 👍

I thank the Police CPS/Judiciary in ensuring justice was delivered today, with the sentencing of an individual to 18 weeks in custody As a MP one should never be threatened/ or threatened with harm with regards to how you vote Politics must change bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

Very saddened to learn news of Dermot Murnaghan,the outstanding @SkyNews anchor From all my appearances on his show during my time in Parliament,Dermot was a class act,always fair but firm,with exceptional attention to detail & political analysis my thoughts are with his family

Ann Widdecombe was an outstanding public servant who served with distinction, a great quality Anne had was she always spoke her mind and you knew where you stood with her, and what she stood for. My thoughts and prayers are with her family at his difficult time.

Good to see at yesterday’s @attorneygeneral Qs Calls for specialist courts to deal with sexual offences to help reduce criminal courts back log of cases, rather than restrict jury trials I called for this along with Kim Hollis KC back in 2022 & shared idea with No 10 Policy Unit

When visiting @HouseofCommons always a pleasure to drop in & thank the wonderful House Staff, who made my 14 years in Parliament very special. The staff are just amazing, kind and always going out of their way to help members. Thank you Françoise as you leave after 25 years.
