Tomorrow's Winter Wonderland Festival has been canceled due to extreme cold. Morning wind chills extending into the early afternoon tomorrow will cause unsafe conditions for festival set-up and activities. We hope to see you at a future (warmer) event!

The new trail signs are up at @ReinsteinWoods, giving visitors a detailed history of both the park and our region. I’m also thrilled to see additional improvements make this natural gem more accessible to people with disabilities.

Local artists showcased their nature-inspired items today, 7/16 during a special #716Day artisan market event @ReinsteinWoods Nature Preserve in Region 9. Visitors met the artists, enjoyed delicious barbecue, and celebrated another sunny summer afternoon in the (716).

I had great time observing @DepewSchools students collecting water quality data in Como Park for the “A Day in the Life of the Niagara River/Lake Erie Watershed program.” I’m so glad I was able to secure $10,000 for Friends of @ReinsteinWoods to continue this amazing program.

Water sampling took place with several other schools today at many different locations around WNY including Akron Falls Park, Hyde Park, Delaware Park and more! #natureforall #environmentaleducation #lakeeriewatershed
