Avon Lake added its first girls state placer and 10th overall with Rejan Alhashash finishing as the state runner-up at 135 pounds. She is the first Avon Lake wrestler to finish on the podium in Columbus since Mark Tomanek took third in 2008. #LoCoMats

The door is wide open in the Wild West of Women’s wrestling and @RejanAlhashash is one of the best around. I’ve been able to watch her grow over the last 2 years. There’s still more left! I have no doubt she will be a state champ in the next 2 years…and who knows after that!
