Read the "Me and my Monster" flashback arc today.
Really cool, recontextualize well a lot of stuff from the first arc and deepens our characters in cool ways.
And now that were (pretty much) on the same level of knowledge as Erica, I'm excited to see where we'll go next !

Read the first arc of Something is Killing the Children today. This was incredible. I loved the characters (Erica my beloved), loved the universe, loved the monsters. This was some really great horror. Totally understand the praises

Cracks me up how pretty much every episode so far ends with Hongo riding away with his bike as the narration says "This guy is just so fucking sad and lonely. He'll never feel human warmth again. All he can do is fight. Alone. In loneliness"

@Reku_pro Kamen Rider Black is not only more reasonably shorter at 51 eps. but has better effects, more dynamic action scenes, a tighter focus on exploring our main hero who is more alone in his battle than other riders
It's a better version of the '71 show & a prelude to Kuuga's approach

Finished the first 13 episodes ! So ig it's time to say goodbye to Hongo for a while.
The show has been cool so far, I liked the characters a lot. I'm not sure I'm gonna watch all the episodes from now on tbh, probably gonna pick and choose, but I'm excited to see Ichimonji !

@dragoon2691 Tbh, it was already VERY episodic. Even to a point where despite liking at a lot, I have a bit of a hard time fully clicking with the show. I hope I'll get used to it

But yes, Ichimonji's presence signals a change of the show into relying further on the episodic, monster of the week formula & lighter stakes
