A man who was displaced from northern Gaza to the south tells me his story: "I was displaced at Al-Shifa Hospital, and when the Israeli occupation army surrounded us, they killed both of my children in front of my eyes. They were not even 10 years old. They killed them in cold blood, and there was nothing I could do. There was no way to bury their bodies; even the morgue was full of corpses. Their bodies remained in my wife’s arms for a week. She would talk to them as if they were still alive, and I would watch her from a distance, crying. My heart was filled with so much agony that if it were distributed among the people of the earth, it would have killed them all. When the occupation's tanks withdrew from the area, and we thought they had left, my wife and I carried a body each, only for a sniper's bullet to pierce my wife’s chest, and she was martyred. That day, I prayed so much to die, but I didn’t. I had to bury them all."
