A few minor comments:
1) Like all Socialists, West Europeans over-promise and under-deliver. They should've rebuilt their military forces and defense industries starting in 2014. Instead, they kept buying Russian gas & oil, and indulged in Russian-sponsored Global Warming hoaxes.
2) Biden recapitulated LBJ's failed strategy of gradual escalation in the Vietnam War.
3) The Western intelligentsia is woefully ignorant of the Baltics, Ukraine, and other formerly Soviet-occupied countries.

All the best from Ukraine.
And yes - it is time for our governments to reconsider rheir advice not to travel. Not all Ukraine is occupied by Russia, not all Ukraine is close to the front line. And inconvenience with the blackouts is not the same as the unsafety.
