Remind Me Faster 5.3 is out now. A smaller release, but it brings: • A configurable Lock Screen shortcut. • A new default glyph for the Lock Screen and Control Center shortcuts. You can change this if you prefer. • Full date picker improvements. • Various other fixes.

@asscid1 I think I know what’s causing this. I should have a bug fix out in the next few days. But if you don’t want to wait, I believe a reinstall may also fix this.

@RemindMeFaster I’m currently on iOS 18.1 using the iPhone SE (2020) and the app seems to open & then crash. Wasn’t the case before.

@tamvodopad Ah, sorry about this. Thanks for the video - It’s a mysterious crash, I can’t replicate it yet. Have you tried reinstalling the app? I’m hoping that helps, because I won’t be able to work on the app for a couple of weeks I’m afraid.

@michif100 Sorry about that! I definitely want to fix it - there seems to be a few people experiencing crashes but I can’t replicate them (or fix them) yet. Could I ask you for some more detail on what you experience please? Does it crash immediately when opened, or after an action?

@lencastre Appreciate the feedback! I’m hoping to revisit the tap target of the note field sooner or later. I’ll give this some thought.

@RemindMeFaster another thing, maybe for your workflow in the app, you start a new reminder, and just type, then optionally choose the deadline, rept, loc, etc... how about a second tap anywhere in that empty middle real estate to "add a note". Curr you get this only by tapping on "add a note."

@lencastre Wonderful to hear! Thank you. If I understand the request correctly, this is actually possible already, but just a little hidden: tap the ‘more’ button (•••) to open the full date picker, and from there you can select a repeat option like ‘Weekdays’.

@RemindMeFaster Love the app. And now with ios18 it took the torch’s place. Feature request: ability to add repeat events to the reminders, as in, I want this reminder every day, weekday, or if the day of the week ends in y. Keep up the good work!

@aarongq216 @Chojubo Heh, kinda. There’s a classic-style icon (second row in this screenshot) that’s also free, plus the old icon set which includes the exact previous one. Hope that works!

I’ve been working on Remind Me Faster close to full-time over the past four months to modernise the code base and get 5.0, 5.1, and 5.2 out there. Everything but the new icon set has been free, so I hope you’ll understand the icons in-app purchase to support development.

Remind Me Faster v5.1.2 should be out now, which just fixes the crash-on-launch issue on macOS.
