I didn’t understand this one. There’s an element where it looks like he is squaring Thornton up and then kinda leans into the tackle head first, but to me it looks more like a head drop into a form tackle. It’s certainly not launching and leaving your feet to hit. Thornton definitely drops his head/body but like that’s what he’s gonna do when he senses contact. In terms of a play to get ejected, I didn’t think that met whatever standard they use. I don’t think the intent was there (he’d have just run full speed and launched himself if he was going for maximum carnage) and they were judging the outcome, not the input, which was admittedly an awful injury.

7 years, no ejections, no unsportsmanlike conducts, i think maybe one Unnecessary roughness for a tackle right at the whistle in a preseason game.. Surrounded by opponents, fending folks off me, and here i am “striking an official” lmao gtfo. Do better. @NFL @NFLOfficiating
