For those who aren't in my discord. This is Bernie. For those who have heard me talk about him on stream, he is my dog. For me, he is my family. The one who has been at my side through everything over the last almost 10 years. I have lost a lot in this life, but despite that I always had him. Waiting at the door for me when I got home. Trying to fit on my lap anytime I sat down despite being over 100 pounds. Keeping me company on our every day walks. Licking my tears away any time I was hurt or scared. Claiming the entire couch or half of the bed as his own. Always full of energy. Full of happiness. Full of love. Even when he was in pain. He is just as much my family, and a part of me, as any person ever has been. I found out a few weeks ago that Bernie has cancer, and that because of how old he already is for his breed, he wasn’t going to survive it. The necessary surgery would require removing most of his jaw, just for his life expectancy to extend for maybe 6 months to a year, and I wasn’t going to do that to him. We believed that we still had a few weeks or months to spend with him before his quality of life began to rapidly decrease, but with the recent and very fast progression of his cancer, I am devastated to say that I will be putting him down this Tuesday. I will be taking streaming off on Monday to spend the day with him, and I obviously won’t be able to stream on Tuesday. I know it will be too difficult to look at these once he’s gone, so I wanted to make a tribute here for him now. I hope you enjoy these photos of him. He is and will always be my everything, and I am blessed to have been able to spend the last 10 years by his side. I love you forever, my heart
