But commuting into a city is one way in the morning and the opposite way in the evening. So the robo taxi that took me into the city would have to travel back to the 'burbs to pick up a new passenger. As long as the robo taxi doesn't charge too much, it will be a success for trips for kids and other non-drivers, for nights on the town and for airport trips. But taxis only make sense in central cities...

@Surtur @jamesdouma I think that's @elonmusk s plan. Most driving commutes are under 30 minutes. After a robotaxi drops off one passenger it picks up the next nearby. Very efficient. One vehicle can get a quite a few people to work during rush hour(s). Then go charge or "uber". Very efficient.

@jamesdouma wouldn't that mean that 1/2 of car trips would have to be done by robo taxis? Are people going to daily commute in a robo taxi? The cost would be prohibitive. And since you have a car for commuting, why pay for a robo taxi. The math aint mathing.

@FearedBuck Maybe I'm focusing on the wrong element here, but that looks more like a $50,000,000 yacht

15 years ago, Laszlo Hanyecz spent 10,000 #bitcoin worth $30 on two Papa John's pizzas.
Today, 10,000 $BTC is worth over $1,100,000,000.
What a legend! 🙌
