Here are the 6 questions I always use : 1. Who is the audience? 2. What am I trying to accomplish? 3. What’s the message? 4. What story am I telling to share this message? 5. What elements are supporting this message? 6. How do I organize these elements to fit the story?

“𝘋𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘯 𝘗𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘗𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘵 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨.” Ok, but what does that mean exactly? 🤨 It simply means that you have to ask yourself the right questions before you craft your slides.

Be intentional with your presentations. You can follow a simple method such as the 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗺 𝗩𝗶𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (Link in comment 👇). It will help you spend less time on your presentations WHILE improving their quality and impact.

Spending less time on the design is a good idea. But make sure you do it so you can spend more time thinking about your Audience, Messages & Story.

Did you know that you can save time by exporting a Word Document into PowerPoint Presentation? You can then use AI for the layout. 😱 ❌ If you want to do a good presentation, please, do NOT use this technique ❗️

In business, we see many bad presentations. 😕 They are 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 & 𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 for different reasons. But if we look closely, the root causes can be summarized in 3: 🔴 Lack of intentionality 🔴 Lack of clarity 🔴 Lack of simplicity minimumviablepresentation.com/common-problem…

TIP: Want to be sure you did it right? Show the slide to a friend for 3-5 seconds without saying anything. Then hide it and ask her to explain the idea of the slide.

What is an active title? According to the awesome book Everyday Business Storytelling, an active title should have an active verb. 𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐥𝐬𝐞! Simple but not easy.

"𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘴𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘺 𝘮𝘺 𝘴𝘭𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘴. 𝘌𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘵." That might be true, but if you don't simplify, your audience won't remember (or worse, understand).

I also share how much time each step should take when you create a #𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗺 #𝗩𝗶𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 #𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

We don't take the time, we multitask, and we rarely follow a method. Therefore, we end up spending way more time than we should on our presentation. I share some ideas 💡 and techniques 🔧 that I used to be efficient in this blog : minimumviablepresentation.com/time-business-…

"𝘐 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘯 𝘮𝘺 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴." ⏰ I hear this excuse from colleagues and clients all the time. I have to admit that it's often true... But, most of the time, it becomes a paradox. The "I don't have time" paradox.

Please, do not waste your audience's time by delivering a #presentation that could have been an email. 🙏

If you want them to read 👀, you shouldn't do a presentation in the first place. To earn their attention, you first need to respect their time.

In business presentation, your audience can either listen to you or read your slides. They cannot do both at the same time.
