@wenlicanlab Yes it is a typo. Thank for spotting it! Alpha power is positively correlated with coupling strength between deep and superficial layers within a brain region. @elonmusk: now would be a perfect time for introducing this edit button.

Our latest work on the relation between EEG oscillations and laminar level fMRI coupling in the visual cortex is now in press and available online at Cerebral Cortex. (1/5) academic.oup.com/cercor/advance…

Although we previously found gamma oscillations relate to laminar specific BOLD activation, we observed no relation of gamma power with changes in laminar fMRI coupling within and between brain regions. (5/5)

Contrary to beta oscillations, alpha power correlates negatively with coupling strength between deep and superficial layers within a brain region. No strong relation was observed between regions, although the trend is also in the direction of decreased connectivity. (4/5)

@DondersInst @neuronculus There are software solutions to correct for the MR-gradient and heart-beat artifacts (EEGLab plugin or Vision Analyzer). EEG recorded in the MRI environment will however always be noisier than normal. Further denoising can be done with for example ICA and beamformer approaches.

@LorijnSZ I had the reversed. No problems after 2nd pfizer shot. The first gave a light headache. And from 3-4 days after 1st shot it returned on and off for about 10 days while having some light concentration problems. Not completely sure that was vaccine related, but might have been.

Academia it forces everyone in a similar career paths that prepares you for group leader and/or teacher. Exceptions are few. It also means academia applies maximum selection pressure/uncertainty at the moment many people seek stability (settle down, start a family).
