Today's #MuseumWeek is #SecretsMW and looks back at the installation of #LouiseLawler's "Pollock and Tureen (traced)," (1984/2013). The work is a large-scale vinyl applied directly to the wall in one of our gallery rooms.

#TraceyEmin's "Believe in Extraordinary" (2015), a small bird, perched on a pomegranate branch also symbolizes Team GB's participation at the 1st European Games in Baku, Azerbaijan. Featured in the Game's visual identity, the fruit is a symbol of unity in Azerbaijani folklore.

#CharlesGaines was announced as the winner of the Edward MacDowell Medal last month, an honour previously given to Robert Frost and Toni Morrison among others. Gaines will be given the award at a ceremony in Peterborough, New Hampshire on August 11th, 2019. ⁣
