This week, I had a wonderful time meeting with students from the local school districts about their experiences as members of the Future Farmers of America (FFA). I really enjoyed talking with them about what they've learned from this program and hearing their personal stories and how it's shaped their lives.

@MarkAHalverson No sir, we are just "upping" our investment to help pay off debt service on already existing UW facilities.

@RepAlexDallman I really appreciate your response. Thank you! The TV news story with you sounded like taxpayer money to UW will shift from facilities to NIL.

@RepAlexDallman I submit that NO taxpayer dollars should be given to college athletes for NIL. Take Lottery money if it’s that critical.

Today is the Wisconsin State Assembly Session where we discuss and vote on important bills. Feel free to watch if you’re wondering what your state government is up to. That's at 1:00 p.m. Next at 7:00 p.m. is the Wisconsin State of the State address. This annual tradition, dating back to our state’s founding in 1848, is where the Governor reports on the condition of Wisconsin and shares priorities for the year ahead. Both should show up on the home page of wiseye.org

Happy Presidents’ Day! This holiday began as a celebration of George Washington’s birthday and later came to recognize Abraham Lincoln and all who have served as President. In 1971, it was set as the third Monday in February.

You know what local community members and past victims might actually be afraid of.....? Violent criminals being let back out onto our streets and into our communities. And yes, the way to solve this problem is to allow our local sheriff's departments and county jails to cooperate with @ICEgov to remove VIOLENT CRIMINALS from our state and country.
Dr. C.Unterberger@DrCJU

@RepAlexDallman Seems like there is another way to solve this problem without fear mongering.

January 25-31, 2026 is National School Choice Week and I am proud to support school choice here in Wisconsin. Every child deserves a high-quality education, regardless of where they live. Parents know what is best for their children, not the government.

Had a productive meeting today with members from the Wisconsin Credit Union League at the Capitol during their State Government Affairs Conference. It was a great opportunity to connect and discuss key policy issues affecting credit unions and their members, as well as the vital role these institutions play in supporting and strengthening local communities across Wisconsin. I especially appreciated the conversation around personal financial literacy, including the early success of my bill that was signed into law requiring a half-credit graduation requirement for high school students starting with the class of 2028, and ideas for further expanding these efforts to equip even more young Wisconsinites with essential financial skills. Thanks to the two who stopped by for the discussion.

Assembly democrats voted several times today to side with China, Iran, and Russia instead of standing up for Wisconsin taxpayers, visitors, and students. Are there any "normal" democrats left?

Yesterday, I had a great meeting with members of the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation! We discussed key agriculture issues and I appreciated hearing directly from my constituents about their perspectives and priorities. Always grateful for these opportunities to connect.

Today I spoke at the public hearing for the Assembly Committee on Housing and Real Estate on my bill, Assembly Bill 625. This legislation adds pay-for-performance rules to state grants for homelessness programs: 10 to 50 percent of funds are withheld for nine months and released only if programs show real results, more people in stable housing for over nine months, increased employment and income, and fewer people returning to homelessness. Taxpayer dollars should deliver measurable outcomes.
