Senator Iovino’s guidance was critical to getting the language correct and it was a pleasure to work with the senator on this bi-partisan, bi-cameral effort to address this pressing issue.

I was very happy to work with Senator Pam Iovino on the amendment to SB 1281 which today was signed into law by Governor Wolf. The bill, as amended, will address the tragedy that occurred to our constituent, Scott Hirsch, while he was changing a flat tire along the interstate.

While this law will not bring Scott back; it will provide consequences to drivers who fail to “Move Over” for a vehicle stopped on the side of a road.
