Tennessee stood up for women and girls and won. The appeal has officially been dismissed in our case against the Biden Title IX Rule, cementing a landmark, nationwide victory for privacy, common sense, and the rule of law. ➡️ Read more: tn.gov/attorneygenera…

Beyond parody: Some people at the Department of Agriculture got so mad at having to read an email from their boss, they're now suing Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins. Complaining about having to read an email is the HEIGHT of entitlement and beyond soft. Thankfully, the Department of Agriculture is not backing down: “While we do not comment on pending litigation, we will keep the plaintiffs in our prayers during this process.”

🚀 Tennessee is leading the nation in education New Education Scorecard report: Our students rank #2 in math growth and #4 in reading growth among states (2022–2025). The average TN student gained nearly half a grade level in math — one of the strongest gains in America. From near the bottom in 2009 → #1 in the South and #17 nationally today. Sustained focus delivers results. Full report: educationscorecard.org @GovBillLee @tnhousegop @tnsenategop

@GavinNewsom ran California into the ground— that’s why Californians flee his administration and move to Tennessee. We don’t need your advice, Gov. Fix your failing state. We’ll keep making Tennessee the most conservative and best state in America.
Gavin Newsom@GavinNewsom

MAGA Tennessee Republicans are so terrified of losing the midterms they’re trying to erase the state's only Black-majority Democratic district. When Democrats called it what it is — racist gerrymandering — Republicans stripped them of their committee seats. That’s not democracy. It’s desperation.

TN-9 has been represented by Democrat Steve Cohen (left) since 2007. Republican Charlotte Bergmann (right) has run against him 4 times since 2018. Gosh, I wonder if this is really more about keeping a Dem in power than anything else? 🤔

Always trying to make it about race is a tired line. TN is winning because of bold, conservative leadership that was on display last week. Democrats were stripped of committees because their actions violated decorum, House rules, were dangerous and reckless. Get better policies and candidates.

“Slavery is over. Jim Crow is dead.” Rep. Wesley Hunt pushes back on what he calls “reinvigorated talk” of Jim Crow, while defending the idea that America is a Christian nation: "As someone who is a direct descendant of a slave, as someone whose great-great-grandfather was born on a plantation, I can assure you, slavery is over. Jim Crow is dead." "I am a Black man representing a White-majority district in Texas, the great-great-grandson of a man born on a plantation stands before you today as a proud, conservative Republican from Texas. As a believer and follower in Christ."

The impacted constituents ought to hold you accountable for acting a fool in the the legislative chambers It wasn’t very impressive—in any event—since I’m sure you knew the officers were advised to avoid an incident at all costs A fake show with grave consequences to the people
Justin J. Pearson@Justinjpearson

Speaker of the TN House Cameron Sexton just removed me and every Democrat — and therefore every Black elected official in the state legislature from any committee we served on. This move strips nearly 2 million Tennesseans from the representation they deserve in TN state leg.

TN Dems got removed from all committees for last week’s House floor meltdown. Props, alarms, coordinating with paid protesters, etc. Of course now they’re playing victim. Maybe next year we’ll explain the basics like “don’t start fires in the Capitol” On the bright side: now Rep. Pearson has until JANUARY to work on that dance routine

.@RepMarkWhiteTN has been a tremendous advocate for education and for Tennessee’s next generation. We owe it to them to make certain every student has access to a world-class education, and I look forward to continuing that work alongside him as Governor. Thank you for all you do, Chairman White!

Op-ed by @RepMarkWhiteTN in The Tennessean: The teachers’ union wants to paint Tennessee as ‘last in spending.’ Reality: We raised per-pupil funding +52%, teacher salaries +68%, and now outperform $ 30k-per-student DC & NY in the Nation’s Report Card. Republican leadership delivers.

Having a minority-majority congressional district is racist at its core because it deliberately engineers congressional maps around skin color rather than around shared ideas, values, or individual merit. Carving up voters into racial blocs as if their pigmentation determines their political destiny is truly bigoted. This practice assumes that Black, or Brown voters cannot meaningfully compete or win in districts where they are a minority. That is literally institutionalizing the very racial stereotypes it claims to combat. That mentality treats citizens as interchangeable representatives of their specific ethnic group instead of sovereign individuals. Seeing people first and foremost for their color is fundamentally racist: it discards the color-blind ideal that judged a person by the content of their character, not the shade of their skin. How can this not perpetuate division under the guise of equity? How can it not erode the principle that in a free republic every vote should count the same regardless of race? x.com/MarcoFoster_/s…
