This is 🎯 and has been my experience with @VoteMarsha. She is a bold, conservative leader who has used her influence to help make TN the best state in the nation. She will be a fantastic Governor.

Sixteen years ago, I was driving to Nashville as a brand-new State Representative. My wife and our kids were with me, and we were all excited to see the Tennessee State Capitol for the very first time. It was one of those moments our family will never forget. On that drive, my phone rang. It was Congresswoman @MarshaBlackburn calling to congratulate me. She welcomed me, encouraged me, and gave me her personal cell phone number. At the time, I had no idea that simple act would become the beginning of a friendship and working relationship that has lasted for 16 years. Since that day, I’ve called, texted, and met with Marsha more times than I can count. Whether I had a question about legislation, needed help for a constituent, or brought business leaders looking to invest in Tennessee, she has always been there. She answers the phone. She returns the text. She opens the door. That’s not something you can say about every elected official. People ask me why I support Marsha. Because I’ve seen who she is when the cameras aren’t rolling. She works. She prepares. She knows the issues inside and out. She has relationships in Washington and across Tennessee that can’t be built overnight. She understands our General Assembly because she served here herself. And through it all, she’s never forgotten where she came from or who she works for. I’ve watched her serve Tennessee for many years. That’s why she has my support, and I hope she’ll earn yours as well. Early voting is taking place right now.

There are so many Tennesseans who have contributed to the making of our great country over the past 250 years. We decided to highlight a few of them. If it weren't for General Jackson's leadership at the Battle of New Orleans in 1815, the British would have captured one of the most vital port cities in the country.

As we celebrate America's 250th, we're highlighting Tennesseans who helped shape our nation's history. Today, we recognize James K. Polk, Tennessee's 11th Governor and the 11th President of the United States. During his presidency, the United States acquired more than one million square miles of territory—dramatically expanding the nation and leaving a lasting impact on American history.

Quick review highlights this is entirely misleading and @CommunityNotes should be made aware. Grok even confirmed: FYI @RepFaison CNBC didn’t rank Tennessee the “worst state for quality of life” overall. They ranked it #9 best for business in 2026 — but gave it last place in one small subcategory (Quality of Life, ~11.6% of the score). • The big hit came from outdated crime data. Memphis (the main drag) saw major violent crime drop 27.6% in 2025 vs 2024, with murders down 26%. In 2026 it’s continued falling — violent crime down nearly 40% year-over-year, murders down 44%+, vehicle thefts down 54-62%. These gains are real and accelerating thanks to better policing and the federal task force. • The rest of the low score comes from ideologically loaded metrics that reward progressive policies: expansive LGBTQ+ laws, abortion access, paid leave mandates, and union power. Tennessee’s conservative stances on parental rights, women’s sports, and limited government get penalized — even when residents clearly prefer them. • Meanwhile, people are voting with their feet: Tennessee had the 4th highest net domestic migration in the country recently. Low taxes, job growth, and affordability keep attracting newcomers. • Bottom line: This is stale data + left-leaning policy preferences dressed up as an objective ranking. Tennessee’s actual results on safety, economy, and migration tell a very different story.

@LeadingReport @CraigGrafx Tennessee spent June celebrating the nuclear family… and it looks like that really soured @CNBC’s day. The irony? 8 of their ‘top 10’ states are hemorrhaging residents. Home sweet home to me!

TDOT is mourning the loss of Cathy Sims, a 19-year employee who was killed in an accident in Haywood County earlier this week. We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support for the Sims family and Cathy’s TDOT colleagues from @GovBillLee, the public, and other Tennessee state departments. We greatly appreciate Governor Lee’s directive to fly flags at the State Capitol at half-staff in remembrance of Cathy. Cathy Sims becomes the 114th TDOT employee who died in the line of duty since 1948. Cathy’s name will be added to the TDOT memorial marker in Smith County.

“Here in Tennessee, Republicans have been on the frontlines of this fight for years, standing firm against radical gender experiments on children, defending biological truth and putting the safety and well-being of kids first. Our state didn’t just resist the madness; we led the effort that helped turn the tide.” @repmarkcochran tennessean.com/story/opinion/…

Just in case you were wondering… my buddy Crawfish (John Crawford) will be back in Nashville representing Tennessee’s House District 1. It did my heart good today to see how well liked he is. Crawfish will continue the excellent job he’s been doing at our State Capitol.

It was an honor to join the official unveiling of the President Donald J. Trump Bridge along Interstate 40 in Dandridge, Tennessee with @MarshaBlackburn, @timburchett, @RepFaison, and members of the Trump family, including Elizabeth and Ann Marie. When Tennesseans sent @POTUS back to Washington with the largest mandate in state history, they knew the promise of his pro-growth agenda because its principles have driven people there in droves. In many ways, Tennessee embodies the best of what President Trump is building nationally as we place American workers, manufacturers, and families back at the core of our policies where they belong.

For six years, this single penny has weathered every storm, sitting untouched in the very same curve of the Foothills Parkway in Cosby. I first noticed it in May of 2020, when the Covid pandemic was melting down the known world, while hiking the parkway to lose weight. Other than a brief time while the PKWY was being repaved, it has stayed a constant smile on my route. I’m often reminded it’s the simple things in life that can mean a lot.
