@JakeVigdor @UW Great job reviewing "how a bill becomes a law" and guide for being effective in developing and passing a bill in WA! Our bill was 1st in US - and still only state ending Pass the Harasser. So, open to closing any loopholes found.

I happen to know that WA's pass-the-harasser law was adopted in 2020. I can look at the legislative website to identify the original bill -- and the original sponsor (Gerry Pollet, in this case, who also happens to be a @UW faculty member). Note that this bill was filed 1/9/20.

At Eckstein Middle School today with our striking educators. 34 and 35 students in science and English classes is NOT ok. A single school social worker in a time of dire need - who is half paid for by parents' fundraising and not the State and School District. That's not ok.

KING5: The current retrieval date is scheduled for two decades from now, although state and federal law says if a tank is leaking nuclear waste, it must be pumped immediately...whenever is feasible. Pollet is the legislature’s top authority on Hanford. He said he is “heartbroken”
