Property taxes are a major affordability issue in Ohio. Last week I joined my joint sponsor Rep. Thomas to testify on HB 608. This bill brings much-needed transparency and accessibility to the tax system. Making Ohio an affordable place to work and live remains my top priority.

I’m excited to officially introduce HB 770, which brings transparency and accountability to campaign finance. The bill allows candidates to refund donations or redirect them to charity through a clear, public process so that voters can be informed.

Funding for schools, parks, and mental health facilities should be bipartisan, but an unrelated provision threatening SNAP food assistance benefits will force layoffs, drive up wait times, and harm the very communities these programs are meant to serve.

Capital reappropriation bills typically pass without controversy but an amendment harming SNAP funding poisoned our bipartisan infrastructure bill.  I trust the Senate will correct this and ensure all Ohioans, regardless of political games, are treated fairly when they need help.
