Enjoyed meeting with Lee Roberts and Magnus Egerstedt from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. It was a great opportunity to check in on key priorities and strengthen our partnership with one of North Carolina’s leading institutions.

I enjoyed touring Nipro’s Greenville facility and meeting with their leadership and local partners. Eastern North Carolina continues to play a critical role in advanced manufacturing and medical innovation. Proud to support efforts that strengthen our workforce, grow our economy, and keep America competitive.

The House just passed the Farm Bill, delivering certainty, funding and the resources our farmers need to thrive! It ensures states can’t restrict hog farmers, 2x funding for export promotion, invests in specialty crops, and expands access to credit for our growers.

We are near collapse to National Security as Democrats continue in their ‘Defund the Police’ mantra, this time it is with ICE. It’s past time we fund law enforcement to keep this nation safe. We wouldn’t be here had Biden not allowed 15 million in this country illegally.

The @WaysandMeansGOP Committee held a hearing examining the impact of rising health care costs on patients and families, including how consolidation and for-profit conglomerates are making healthcare unaffordable for the average American. The system needs to see more competition and a national discussion about whether we need ‘for-profit’ entities in healthcare.

It was a tremendous honor to meet 103-year-old Marine Veteran Corporal Leonard B Turner at the MARSOC celebration today. He is our nation’s oldest living Marine Raider. Enlisting at 19, Corporal Turner served in multiple theatres during WWII.

I honored my dear friend Dr. Paul “Brad” Brechtelsbauer on the House floor, an incredible physician, mentor, and gentle giant who touched countless lives across Eastern North Carolina. His legacy will not be forgotten.
